2015 Colorado Arbor Day Poster Contest Winner!

The winner of this year’s Colorado Arbor Day Poster Contest, co-sponsored by ArborScape and the Colorado Tree Coalition, is Steck Elementary’s, Nick Babiak.  Nick’s poster, on the theme, Celebrate Trees in our Community, along with all winning posters from each school, will be on display at the state Capitol Building beginning Monday the 27th and extending through May 4.
From a pool of 45 individual art posters, and after a difficult debate, the judging committee selected Nick’s poster for its expression of the overriding theme.  The poster was drawn with an eye for detail and great use of media, and in particular, attracted the attention of the judges for its motto “Every Season Everyday,” a great summary of an appreciation of our community trees and the value of nature all the year-round.
